Design
Using the Strategic Analysis document, as a template,
a complete detailed design specification will be developed. This
specification document is the blueprint of the solution and includes:
-
Feature and Application Analysis
The Strategic Analysis identified and outlined the critical
features and applications of the site. Bradek will now meet
with the client to define each in more detail such as exact
approach via prototyping, tools to be leveraged, effort levels,
and assumptions.
-
Hardware and Software Architecture Analysis
Bradek will meet with the client to examine current hardware
and software environments to determine the proper hardware and
software architecture to meet the needs. Bradek will consider
both current and future implementations to ensure system scalability.
All components will be specified, as well as any third party
software products that will be leveraged in developing the site.
Security concerns will also be defined, documented, and addressed.
-
Database & Dataflow Analysis.
The Bradek team will meet with the client
to understand the design and interaction of any current or
planned databases. These databases will be reviewed to determine
information gaps. Bradek will also map the data and product
information paths and define how information is related and
replicated for use. Most importantly, Bradek will also work
closely with the client to determine the administrative needs
of this data, to ensure that the system can easily be maintained.
